Plush Commission Info/ TOS/ Disclaimer:

  • Plush commissions are opening back up on November 01, 2024. Follow me on X for more information closer to the date.

  • Only 15 slots will be available in this round. First come first serve. I will make plushes in the order of orders received. I will make a rough schedule of plushes.

  • If your plush is scheduled for a certain month, please also allow for a grace period of 4-6 weeks, as I have a full time job, markets I am prepping for, and hobbies I enjoy as well. If it has been over two months after the month your plush was scheudled to be completed, you can DM me and I will work with you. Please do not ask me for concrete ETAs, since I will not accurately be able to give you one. I may need to remake your plush for quality reasons, or I may get sick. I am only human. I do not want to rush a plush just to get it out the door and possibly sacrifice quality.

  • When commissions open back up, I will only be accepting comms for 6inch pitanuis and a new style of 12inch standing plush. I will not be accepting commissions for 12 inch pitanuis at this time.

  • 6inch pitanuis will be a flat rate of $250, and the 12 inch standing plush will be a flat rate of $375

  • Next time I open pitanui commissions, the price will raise to $275, so if you want to commission me at the lower price of $250, please consider comm'ing in this round.

  • Every plush will come with bonus keychains and stickers of your character, illustrated by me!

  • I specialize in making humanoid characters from anime, manga, and video games. I also make original characters. I will not make plushes of real people, animals, mecha, or anything that is not a humanoid fictional character.

  • I take commissions via my online store: plushgarden.bigcartel.com. You will be asked to fill out a google form on the website as well. If you do not fill out the google form, I cannot proceed with your commission. Please do not email me or DM me references, as these messages will get buried. Please use the google form.

  • I accept most commissions, but if in the event I decide not to take your commission, you will be fully refunded within 7 days of your purchase.

  • Commissions will be scheduled to be finished in the order that the orders are placed. The commission form will be open on Nov 1, and will close when orders are filled.

  • If I have blocked you on X, or if you have blocked me, I will not accept your commission. Thank you for understanding!

  • I do not give discounts, even if you order multiple plushes, so please do not ask. It is rude.

  • I will no longer honor private or expedited commissions, even if they are for a special event such as a wedding, vacation, or convention. I have made plushes for special events in the past, but squeezing in extra comms ended up messing my schedule up too much. Plus, it is unfair to those who are waiting patiently in the queue.

  • I no longer honor special deadlines for expedited plushes. If you need a plush made by a certain date or in time for a certain event, please consider working with a different artist.

  • After slots close I will not take any more orders until comms reopen. DO NOT DM me about private commissions or special requests, especially while my comms are closed. If you do so, I may block you, even if you have ordered from me before.

  • DO NOT ask me to change the character you want me to make halfway through the process, especially if I have already started on your plush or illustration. I will no longer honor character or outfit switches. The references you upload in the initial google form will represent the character you will receive from me.

  • I will ship to the address attached to the original order. If you move, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILTY to inform me BEFORE I ship out the plush. If you do not inform me of a change of address, I am not responsible for where your package ends up.

  • -I do not make nude or cast off plushes. Furthermore, all outfit pieces including shoes, glasses, most jackets, and most hats are sewn directly onto the plush. If you are looking for an artist who makes plushes with removeable clothes, please consider a different artist.

  • I have a rewards program that if you purchase 4 plushes from me, I will make a 5th plush for free! However, this plush can only be a 6inch plush. Please do not ask for a different style of plush, as they take too much material to make for free.

  • I DO NOT MAKE PROPS for commissions. Please do not ask me to make duel disks or swords. If it is not a part of their clothing or their body, I will not make it. This is because most props are outside my skill set.

  • I do not accept personal payment plans or private payments outside of my online store. My online store has an option to pay in installments or pay with credit cards, or with paypal credit. If you cannot comfortably afford a plush, please consider saving your money. I do not want anyone putting themselves into a bad financial situation just to get a plush. Please take care of yourself.

  • I do not issue refunds. If you are dissatisfied with the service, turnaround time, or end product, please simply consider not working with me in the future.

  • I only make OCs for the owner of the OC.

  • With very few exceptions, I WILL make public characters that I have made before. If the character is not your intellectual property, you cannot claim sole ownership on their plushgarden plushes. If you do not want someone else to receive a plush of a public character you have commissioned, then that's something you have to work with your therapist to unpack. Do not DM me asking to block people/"doubles" you do not get along with, and do not ask me to unfollow accounts you do not get along with, either. I am NOT interested in the drama. Let's all be adults, please.

  • I do quality checks before I send my plushes out. A plush might get a little bit banged up in transit, but if it arrives irreplaceably damaged I will do my best to fix it. All subsequent damage done to the plushes after you receive it is NOT my responsibility to fix, however. My plushes are meant to be handled gently, and are intended for display. If they break on an adventure you take them on, it is not my responsibility. Please don't stuff them in suitcases, that's not very nice. They are not toys, not for kids, and not designed for bedtime cuddles. They are one-of-a-kind handmade fiber sculptures. Treat them as gently as you would treat a scale figure.

  • Do not ask me to use the technique of sublimation in my works. I do not intend to use sublimation, as it is not a part of my setup or style. Furthermore, please do not ask me to imitate another style, whether the style be from official merch or other fiber artists. Please familiarize yourself with my previous plushes I have made on my portfolio page for examples of what my work looks like.

What it's like to work with me / my process

  • Phase 1: I will make a chibi-style illustration of your character. I will make this illustration into keychains and stickers as an order bonus. These illustrated goods are bonuses as a thank you for waiting for your plush to be made. If there are character design inaccuracies or color inaccuracies in the illustration, please tell me. I would rather change an inaccuracy in an illustration than waste materials changing inaccuracies on a plush.

  • Phase 2: I will make an estimated schedule of when your plush will be worked on. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the month your plush is scheduled to be worked on, however, as I have a life outside of plush comms and may fall behind without meaning to.

  • Phase 3: I will work with you directly to design the facial embroidery. I will send you a digitization of the embroidery file until we get the expression right, then I will embroider a test on fabric so that we can get the thread colors right. If you make me re-embroider a face more than 3 times, however, I may drop your commission because I do not like to waste materials.

  • Phase 4: Once the facial embroidery has been decided upon, I will make the plush based on the character design references and the chibi illustration I drew. I will do so to the best of my ability, and will most likely need to simplify design elements. I do not send WIPs after the facial embroidery phase. This is because waiting on phases of approval slows down my process, messes up my plush schedule, and makes things difficult to coordinate. I may post WIPs on twitter/x.com, however. Once I am done with the plush, I will post the finished photos to x.com/plushgarden. At that time, if you see a detail I missed or something minor you would like me to change, I will do my best to add or change it. But I will not make any major alterations to the plush once I have deemed the plush done. I do not like to be micromanaged throughout the process. I am not a manufacturer or a factory making mass produced goods, I am a fiber artist who has their own style. If you are the kind of commissioner that needs to be at the wheel of the project, or who requires multiple updates before the piece is finished, then you will probably not enjoy working with me. There are many other plush artists you can commission, if that is the case.

Materials & Techniques Used, and Care instructions

  • My materials: I use minky, velour, upholstery velvet, and mochi fabrics in my work. Very rarely do I use cotton or woven fibers that are prone to fraying. Do not ask me to purchase fabrics from specific vendors to use in your plush.

  • My techniques: I use a mix of handstitching, machine stitching, hand embroidery, machine embroidery, as well as crochet in my works. I also use fabric glues and other adhesives such as super glues in my work. I do not use sublimation, as I find that it often makes plushes look very "manufactured", and that is not the look I am trying to achieve with my plushes.

  • How to care for plushes: Spot clean only. Use lint rollers or tape to clear the plushes of dust. Do not leave in direct sunlight or hot environments, as this may weaken the adhesives used and damage the fabrics over time. Please do not leave them in hot vehicles and do not submerge them in water. Do not put in the washer or dryer. These are not stuffed animals, they are fiber sculptures and must be handled as if they were scale figures.
